BACK-UP INSTEK DIGITAL'S NVR SETTINGS

  1. Go to Windows Start;
  2. In the Instek Digital folder, select PuTTY;
  3. Enter the IP-address in the Host Name (or IP address) input field;
  4. Click Open;
  5. Now the PuTTY window will appear;
  6. To enter PuTTY type in the username and password (default user name is root and password is id;
  7. Type hdsm to open the NVR System Management menu;
  8. Now the NVR System Management Menu will open;
  9. To backup the NVR settings, select option 2 (Backup/Restore Configuration);
  10. Now select option 1 Backup current configuration
  11. Now the backup file (.tar.gz) is store on the NVR in the Share folder.
  12. To share the backup configuration, select option 6 System Configutation
  13. Now select option 2 File sharing
  14. Select option 1 Enable File sharing
  15. Now locate the tar.gz-file in the Share folder and copy this to the other NVR.
