Basler and Instek Digital IP Camera Integration

Ahrensburg, Germany and Taipei, Taiwan (May 6th, 2010) - Basler Vision Technologies, a leading German manufacturer of digital cameras and Instek Digital, a top manufacturer of digital video surveillance solutions, today announced the full integration of the Basler range of compact IP cameras with Instek Digital's Matrivideo system.

Basler Vision Technologies are well known for producing a compact range of digital and IP cameras that retain the consistent quality and features expected in larger cameras. Their cameras have been field-proven in many different applications ranging from surveillance operations to flatscreen glass inspection, where the rejection rate of flatscreens drops to under 10%.

The IP Camera security line up from Basler includes a variety of compact box type cameras that use a high-quality Sony CCD sensor. Other features include an all-metal housing that weighs in at just 230 grams, day/night functionality and H.264 compression. Also available are the new IP fixed dome cameras with vandal-resistant aluminium housing and an operating temperature range from -35° C to +50° C.

The seamless integration between the compact megapixel network cameras and Instek Digital Hybrid DVRs/NVRs brings unrivalled image quality and a more covert style to the Matrivideo surveillance system. The Matrivideo video recorders can intelligently handle the streams and forward them straight to the Command Center, Instek Digital’s video management software.

The integration of Basler’s IP camera range is another step forward for Instek Digital’s goal of providing an easily scalable, cost effective IP surveillance solution suitable for any type of project. Continued collaboration between IP camera vendors and Instek Digital has resulted in the Matrivideo platform being compatible with over 80% of the IP cameras on the market today.

The IP camera integration will be demonstrated live at the upcoming IFSEC 2010 exhibition in Birmingham, England at the Instek Digital booth (H100 Hall 4). Many new products and product features will also be on display.
